Neeraj Agrawal, General Partner Battery Ventures
Neeraj is General Partner at Battery Ventures. Neeraj joined Battery in 2000 and invests in enterprise software, technology-enabled services and Internet companies. He was a founding investor in BladeLogic (NASDAQ: BLOG) and helped the founders launch the company with the acquisition of Network Shell. In addition to BladeLogic, Neeraj's investments include A Place For Mom, Bazaarvoice, Consona (take-private, formerly Made2Manage), Guidewire Software, LifeMed Media and Omniture (NASDAQ: OMTR). He also serves on the board of Applimation.
Prior to Battery, Neeraj worked as a product manager at Real Networks, an operating executive at SkyTV, and a management consultant with Booz-Allen. Neeraj holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University as well as an MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School. He is a Charter Member of TiE, and an active advisor to several local entrepreneurs.
Jack Hembrough, Chairman AppSec Inc.
After leading the company as President and CEO from inception through its first five years, Jack Hembrough is now the Chairman of the Board for Application Security, Inc. (AppSecInc). Jack came to the Company from Authentica, an application encryption software venture. Prior to Authentica, Jack was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for SafeNet, Inc. a publicly traded encryption technology company that provided chips and software to fuel the VPN equipment marketplace.
Jack was the 14th employee of Raptor Systems, one of the first firewall companies. At Raptor, Jack built the global sales channels. After Raptor's IPO, Jack was installed as the Vice President/General Manager European Operations, and created Raptor's European organization headquartered in Amsterdam. Jack has held sales management positions with Network Systems and with Motorola / Codex, and has served in the USAF. Jack earned a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy.
Mamoon Yunus, CTO Forum Systems
Mr. Yunus is an industry-honored CTO and visionary in Web Services-based technologies. As the founder of Forum Systems, Mr. Yunus pioneered Web Services Security Gateways & Firewalls. He has spearheaded Forum's direction and strategy for six generations of award-winning Web Services Security products. Prior to Forum Systems, Mr. Yunus was a Global Systems Engineer for webMethods (NASD: WEBM) where he developed XML-based business integration and architecture plans for Global 2000 companies such as GE, Pepsi, Siemens, and Mass Mutual.
He has held various high-level executive positions at Informix (acquired by IBM) and Cambridge Technology Group. InfoWorld recognized Mr. Yunus as one of 4 "Up and coming CTOs to watch in 2004." He is a sought after speaker at industry conferences such as RSA, Gartner, Web Services Edge, CSI, Network Interop, and Microsoft TechEd.
Mr. Yunus has the distinction of showcasing Forum Systems' entrepreneurial leadership as a case study at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has also been featured on CNBC as Terry Bradshaw's "Pick of the Week."
Mr. Yunus holds two Graduate Degrees in Engineering from MIT and a BSME from Georgia Institute of Technology.
